All of these new insights and abilities percolate inside you until, one day, you see another intention; something you couldn’t have seen from the place you started when you picked the original intention. From this new vantage point, another intention becomes clear. Now that you see the new intention, it looks shinier and brighter than the original intention. And you change intentions.

[dropcap4]2[/dropcap4]Buckminster Fuller called it The Processional Effect, and likened it to bees pollinating flowers. Bees aren’t trying to pollinate flowers, their mission is self-serving: to make honey. But pollen sticks to their little-bitty legs and then gets spread to other flowers, thus giving the world much beauty. But the bees, they’re just going about their personal mission. Procession is the effect of bodies in motion on other bodies in motion.

[dropcap4]3[/dropcap4]Don’t worry if your life doesn’t seem to make sense or your choices are erratic and your goals changeable. You are being led through your life toward your highest good and greatest bliss. What feels good to you today? What feels empowering and creative and exciting? Those are the signposts life is giving you. Go do that.

[dropcap4]4[/dropcap4]When you move toward an intention, you acquire skills and experience. As a result of the insights you learn along the way, a new goal may appear to you; something that never occurred to you when you first started out. Your new goal or new opportunity, may not have been visible to you initially, you needed that additional insight to “get it.”

[dropcap4]5[/dropcap4]An intention is a path that leads you in a particular direction. Our job, is to start along the path and begin. Trust that it doesn’t matter what you choose. Life knows what you need, and will guide you in the right direction, but only if you pay attention.

[dropcap4]6[/dropcap4]As you look back over your life, can you see what lessons you were learning and where life was leading you? Each step along the way is necessary.

[dropcap4]7[/dropcap4]Life has a Processional Effect. Change leads to more change. Like a rock thrown into the still pond, you create ripples that grow larger in the future.

If you make a tiny change in the direction of one of them, like pushing it three or four degrees in a different direction, the change may be imperceptible at first. But if you follow that path for yards and then miles, there will barely seem to be a relationship between the first path and the second path.

[dropcap4]9[/dropcap4]You’ve set a cause in motion, and every cause creates an effect or result. Every result is influenced by the one before it, and takes us in a particular direction. Every direction carries with it an ultimate destination.
